Processor Changing Instructions
For the PAC Chargers
Why need to change?
If the battery type is changed so much that the original processor does not include the right algorithm there is a need to change the processor. With a new processor the all 16 charging algorithms can be changed. If battery voltage is changed for example from 12V to 24V the processor change to the PAC charger will solve the whole problem .
How to change?
- Plug off the charger from the mains network. Disconnect the battery from the chargers output and short-circuit the output wires.
- Screw off all TORX screws from the front panel and disconnect the fans connector from the PCB-board.
- Screw off all TORX screws from the rear panel and pull the PCB out from the aluminium profile. The front end of the PCB should look like the figure shows.
- Take off the processor from its socket and press the new one to its place. Be careful with the direction of the processor and check that all processors pins are in the sockets holes.
- Assemble the charger in the opposite order. Be careful with fan direction. All texts on the fan should point inside the charger.
- Take off the adjusted label from the front panel and attach the new label which match with the new processor and the code switch position.
NOTE:
Manufacturer can not take any response from charger or battery if customer have changed the processor. Wrong kind of processor may damage the charger or battery.
